D.I.Y Recycled Picture Frame Wall Hangy Thingy

Hello! Here is a project that I have had in my head a while. I am so happy the weather finally cleared up so I could get out to the work bench to make my D.I.Y. Recycled Picture Frame Wall Hangy Thingy. (Nice name huh!?)

Supplies:

Picture Frame

Paint/Spray Paint

Phifer Charoal Fiberglass Screen

Scissors

Glue Gun/Glue Sticks

Chain

Nails

Hammer

Didn't leave anything out from the supplies list, huh? Pretty easy project that can be done in one afternoon. Here we go in pictures.  :)

Paint the frame, I put about three coats on and the gold accents still shown through. I was glad the black didn't cover all of them, I feel it gave the piece a vintagy feel.

Cut the Phifer Charoal Fiberglass Screen to the size of the frame.

Bend those little metal glass/matting holders back and forth until they fall off.

I stapled the screen to the top of the frame

Went around the whole frame with the hot glue gun, gluing the screen to the inside of frame. Then cut off excess screen.

Place the chain ends about as far as I could to the outer sides of the frame. Hammer into place.
